a)far away and b)expensive...because of "a)" and the price of gas at the moment, it is also more expensive and so on and so forth...
To get back to the "meat" of this post (lol, meat, get it...so punny) I basically decided that if I really wanted Thai food, I would have to make it myself. SCARY. But I was willing to give it a try, with some of the more tame looking stuff, that my husband and I both like. I decided on pad thai, and a pineapple coconut curry
(I used chicken meat for both of these, but any meat could potentially work for either recipe).

I was actually pretty impressed with myself, and my husband (bless his little heart) even said we never had to go to a Thai restaurant again because he liked it so much. Mission accomplished ;)
